Time is over.

Die Reise ist nun vorbei schon seit ca. einem Monat vorbei. In Kürze beginnt mein Studium.

Nun kann ich sagen, dass die Entscheidung nach Korea zu gehen, die richtige war. Ich habe viele schöne Erfahrungen gemacht, neue Eindrücke erlebt, eine andere Kultur kennengelernt, neue Freunde gefunden.

Zum Schluss möchte ich mich noch bei allen Bedanken; dem Bayerischen Go Verein, welcher mich hilfsbereit unterstützte, die Internation Baduk Academy von Professor Lee Ki Bong, den neuen Freunden und auch euch Lesern.

The time in Korea is over for me (since a month). Soon university will start.

After all i can say, it was the right decision to go to Korea. I have seen a lot of new things, made new friends, good memories.

In the end I want to say thank you to: the Bavarian Go Club, which supported me; the International Baduk Academy of Professor Lee Ki Bong… the new friends… and after all to the readers of my blog!

in wenigen Tagen beginnt meine Asienreise! Mit diesem Blog möchte ich Freunde und Bekannte von meinen Erlebnissen berichten.

Am 1. Juni 2008 fliege ich nach Seoul, Südkorea, und werde dort 3 Monate an der International Baduk Academy (IBA) verbringen. Nähere Informationen zur IBA gibts auf deren Homepage, welche bei den Links zu finden ist.

Das Ganze war am Anfang nicht mehr als eine “Schnapsidee”. Mein Zivildienst war Ende April vorbei und mein Studium beginnt erst im Oktober. Da stellte ich mir diese Frage: “Was wäre nun das Genialste, was du nun machen könntest, Pascal?” So kam eins zum anderen.

Vorallem bin ich auf das Land und die Kultur gespannt. Eine besondere Stellung in diesem Blog wird nicht nur Go, sondern auch ganz bestimmt die koreanische Küche haben.

Die letzten Vorbereitungen wurden getroffen, und nach der letzten von insgesamt 10 Impfungen bin ich nicht nur startklar, sondern freue mich schon brennend auf den Beginn dieser Reise.

in a couple of days my Asian journey begins! I am writing this blog in order to report my experiences and events to you.

On June 1st I am going to fly to South-Korea and I will stay 3 months at the International Baduk Academy (IBA). You can find further information at the homepage, the url is in the link section.

At the beginning this was just a crazy idea. I did my alternative service until the end of April. My study will start in October. Hence I asked myself: ” Hey, Pascal, you have so much free time, what is the craziest thing you could do now?” This idea developed and now I am trying to put it into practice.

Of course I am very interested in the country and the culture of Korea. Beside Go, the Korean food will be one of my favorite topics.

The final preparations were made, and after the last out of ten injections I am ready to takeoff and very looking forward to the first steps of this trip.
